(More customer reviews)i installed this with two 50-foot cat 6 cables, and it worked with 1080p@24hz signal -- but produced lots of noisy snow when handling a 1080p@60hz signal.
we only use our setup for watching DVD and BluRay, most films show at 24hz and look great. but any of our DVDs made from television programming, (and even television preview material on film discs) go over the wire at 60hz and come out looking awful.
the hardware is nicely built from metal parts, and can be secured to a wall or surface.
the AC adapter doesn't fit perfectly, leaving a 1/8" gap between the adapter tip and the HDMI receiver (shock hazard if you install this where kids may be exploring ).
since it doesn't fully support 1080p in our environment (at just half of the specified maximum distance for 1080p) i returned this item.

(More customer reviews)This coupler worked great for me. I used it to connect two 25' HDMI cables together in order to make it all the way from my upstairs Tivo HD to another HDTV in my basement. For some reason, I kept doubting that this would work. It seems like too much to ask for the HDMI cables to run that long, and the coupler seemed like adding an even bigger hurdle.
But the signal is absolutely perfect. There are no traditional "losses" in an HDMI connection. Either the digital "handshake" works or it doesn't, it's an all or nothing connection. So this coupler maintained the connection.

(More customer reviews)I was a little worried/skeptical about trying this product, as i don't know anyone else who has used one of these, but i had a unique situation, where i had mounted my tv above my fireplace, and had to literally cut sheetrock on the sides of my mantel in order to run my hdmi wires down the side to my cable box...well, i patched all of that, and refinished it...then i decided a couple months later, that i would like to hide all my components, so i had 2 choices, either rip out my sheetrock again, or buy one of these extenders....i bought the extender, plugged it in, ran another 15 hoot hdmi cord under the house and to a closet where i put all of my components, and i couldn't be happier...not picture quality lost at all(at least non that i can tell)...and it has worked absolutely perfect...i couldn't be happier, and for the price and ease of use, you can't beat it.
