I found a great deal on this drive for $9.99 at Target. I like the click design, where the usb end retracts inside of the device like an ink pen. The flash drive comes with VirtualExpander... which can expand capacity of the device up to three times. Kudos. Also the LED Indicator is bright lime green and quite attractive. On the downside is the size and speed. 2GB doesn't go far anymore. Double the price and you can find 8GB or more. Then there is the speed. This Sony is not promoted as Hi-Speed, but, I wanted to use it in Readyboost mode and wanted over 20MB per sec. read and 6MB write. I used Checkflash to test the drive and only got a read of 16MB per sec.and a write speed of 5MB per sec. Not what I hoped for, for the price this is a great buy and a recommended USB Flash
Drive for storage space.

These new "Micro Vaults" by Sony are fun, attractive, and ultimately, usable flash drives. Sizes range from 1 to 16 Gb, and two formats, standard and "turbo" speed, are available for many of these sizes. The "turbo" version costs more than the equivalently sized "standard" version, but at higher storage sizes. the higher transfer speed of the "tubo" version is desirable because the sheer amount of time required to transfer 16 Gb of data to a stick can be daunting.
The new spring-loaded design of thee units is highly functional. The design keeps the metal USB "prong" protected when not in use, and simply grabbing the device to pull it out of the computer into which it has been placed engages the internal spring, which then retracts the plug automatically upon removal. Build quality feels generally good, particularly considering the fact that Sony has reduced the oftentimes outrageous prices they ask for such accessories. The units have an LED light that flashes through a prismatic lens at the end of the device which is a nice touch to the overall design of the device. I own two of these (a 4 Gb and an 8 Gb version), and am delighted with them both. Check out the 16 Gb versions if you want even more space, but remember the issues surrounding transfer speed and the amount of time required to move that amount of data
Pros
1. Highly functional spring loaded function obviates need for a cap
2. Visually attractive design
3. Transfer speed acceptably fast
4. Available in 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 Gb variants
Cons
1. Price is a bit high compared to other brands
2. "Turbo" edition adds even more cost

WDEC-10 EVA Molded 10-Inch DVD Player Case (Black) Review

WDEC-10 EVA Molded 10-Inch DVD Player Case (Black)

My biggest difficulty in shopping for a case was finding one advertized for 10-inch players that actually fit them. Our 10-inch Toshiba fits perfectly in this case--even if the battery is attached. The main compartment is high enough to hold headphones without crushing them as well as the accessory cords and battery for our player. There is a side pocket that also has ample room for cords and a sleeve for DVDs. A previous reviewer said that this will not mount on the back headrest of his driver-side seat--I do not find such to be the case. The case includes instructions for mounting between two bucket seats or on the back headrest of one seat. A sufficiently versatile product.
