Since my previous laptop is now technically in two pieces due to the plastic bezel of the monitor breaking, I wanted a laptop that could withstand wear and tear of daily use without compromising on flexibility. After looking at the other brands around the same price point, I felt the VAIO NW was superior in terms of the design and durability. Having used it for a few days now, I am very happy with this product and I would recommend it to others.

Samsung HT-BD3252T/XAA Blu-ray Home Theater System (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this system within a few days of it being available...the features I most liked were the wireless rear speakers and the included wireless internet connectivity - the included iPod dock was a plus. I am not an audiophile and felt like I was taking a bit of a gamble with a Samsung product since, while the picture is great, the sound on my 52" Samsung TV is not good! I have had the TV for 1 year and have been using it with an older DVD HTIB and just felt like it was time to upgrade. Had been looking at soundbar and other HTIB systems but wanted something wireless with Internet streaming - I am a gadget freak.
The system sounds great. It looks great. The Internet connection for Netflix, Pandora, and connecting to a PC work exactly as advertised. Very easy to put together and configure with limited directions. The wireless rear speakers make no noise other than what they are supposed to. I did go out an buy stands for the rear speakers...I just felt like I needed to get the speakers off the floor and I am glad I did.
The reasons I am not giving it a 5 star rating: First - twice so far it has lost the network connection and I have had to restart it...never during playback; only after doing some other function and then trying to switch to a network function. Second - I have my DVR connected through the BD3252 for both audio and video and there is a slight delay in` the sound when first resuming play after pausing or fast forwarding video. Third - it is not possible to change any of the configuration on the BD3252 unless you are in BD/DVD mode. To me, none of these are anything more than a mild annoyance but they are an annoyance none the less.
After about 1 month, all in all I am very happy with the purchase and would not consider returning it. I was able to get it delivered to my door for less than $650 which made it even better.

PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D Review

(More customer reviews)I have PowerDVD 5, which is great. I only got PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D because 5 doesn't work well on Windows 7 and I wanted a PowerDVD version that supports Blu-ray playback. If you download the trial version you'll see all the interface problems this version has. Why should a $100 program have interface problems? Version 5 didn't and never cost this much. If you buy the full version of PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D you can download the patch which fixes most of the interface problems, but not all. I agree that there's toooooo much commercialism packed into this program. It can be very annoying. The True Theater Video gives the picture quality more detail and it plays Blu-ray but the 3D feature won't work on regular computer monitors. The True Theater Audio gives the sound more clarity and is a very nice addition to the program, but as far as I can tell, they haven't improved upon it enough to warrant the high price tag. I wouldn't have bought this if I hadn't been able to get it at a much lower price.
If you have Windows XP or Windows Vista, don't have a Blu-ray drive, and don't plan on upgrading to Windows 7, get PowerDVD 5. It's way better and way cheaper and no commercialism. PowerDVD has definitely gone down the hill since version 5. I like PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D but if you're gonna get a program this expensive, it has to be FANTASTIC, not just OK.

It wasn't hard to set up but there is no display on the actual unit so you can't quickly see how much time you've watched, the buttons on the remote are hard to press and don't always take and there is no manual in the box (you need to go online and download a 28 page manual). In addition, I'm not savvy enough to be able to reprogram it every time it loses Internet connectivity so it's going back.
