Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I have been through three of these - two for more father (both failed right away) and 1 for me. The one I purchased for myself worked great for the first few weeks, upconverting cable (from 1080i), blu ray (at 1080p), and laptops (both pc and mac to 1080p), and a video camera (from 480i to 1080p). After a while, it started to choke on sending stuff out at 1080p. It would blink over and over again until you switched the resolution to something else (either 480p, 720p, or 1080i). Also, it would sometimes take a while to adjust to sending things out to 1080p - I would often see green lines and weird artifacts until the unit warmed up and then I could see it right itself after a few minutes and it would look good.
Unfortunately, the unit may suffer from overheating or something as it has gotten older and it has resorted to blinking on and off until you shut it restart it. All in all, not the worth the time or the headache. Go with a better brand or save up and get a reciever that has scaling capabilities (word is the HQV Reon and Realta chips are the best).
