I originally purchased this cable selecting 'cablemart' as the seller. I did not receive the product in the picture. Instead, I received a cable manufactured by Monoprice. The Monoprice cable has a heavier gauge cable and a huge Mini DisplayPort connector. The connector is so big that it obstructs the USB port on a Macbook Pro. Another issue, is that the Monoprice cable causes problems with sleeping my monitor. It will go to sleep and then wake back up repeatedly.
I sent a message to cablemart about my issue and they quickly replied with an offer to refund a couple bucks for my trouble. I think that's good customer service on their part.
I found out that 'Cable Matters' ships the product in the pictures. I received it in a couple days and it was perfect. The Mini DisplayPort connector is exactly like the one on Apple brand adapters. It doesn't obstruct the USB port and my monitor sleep properly with this cable.
I rated this product 5 stars because it's perfect as long as you get the product in the photos. You may want to check with the seller before confirming your order.
