(More customer reviews)I purchased this product about 8 months ago and only used it occasionally. I noticed random problems instantly; it would freeze up right after I inserted a movie, I would have to unplug it and then it would work fine. Last night I went to watch a movie with no luck. When I turned the power on it would shut the player completely off. I tried everything with no luck and this frustrates me since I am unable to open the player and have an important DVD trapped inside. This is the second Memorex DVD player I've bought in the last year only to have it fail within months. I just got off the phone with the company. I explained the problems and they basically said that I was SOL. They sounded impressed that it lasted the few months that it did. I was repulsed by the lack of concern and customer service. This is a low-grade product from a company that doesn't seem to care.
