(More customer reviews)If you have a slot loading imac g3, this is what you need for it to accept the 802.11b [before g revision] airport card. Installion is extremely easy- you don't even have to open the case completely, thanks to a removeable panel below the VGA port on the back that allows access to the RAM [this card fits just above the RAM onto a proprietary port on the slot loading G3s]. Since the card is limited to 11mb/sec anyway this adpter isn't going to slow down the network- actually, using the 802.11b airport card w/ this will increase performance if your using a USB 802.11b adapter because the imac g3 uses usb 1.1, not 2.0. I notices faster loading, leading me to believe that the proprietary port this adapter plugs into is faster than usb 1.1.
