(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to connect to a Samsung hdtv and a Samsung upconverting dvd player. The remote controls all three (because they are all samsung) and when I put my first dvd in it turned on the tv and chose the correct reciever setting without even pushing a button. I was pretty impressed by this.
Even though this is the first surround sound system that I have owned, it only took me about 45 minutes to set up. It still needs some tweaking, and I still need to hide the rear speaker cords, but I am very pleased with it so far. Nice design, looks sleek and elegant and the sound is awesome. I was glad that this system uses standard speaker wire (not plugs) so you can easily purchase more wire and run it around the edges of the room.
The size was larger than I expected on both the reciever itself and the sub so people with small rooms may want to double check the size specifications.
I would recomend this reciever to anyone because of the simple setup and great sound right out of the box. It also has the capability to be adjusted to odd shaped rooms with uneven speaker distances. It can later be expanded to 7.1 surround (blu-ray) with the purchase of another set of speakers.
