(More customer reviews)I recently purchased an Onkyo TX-SR674 A/V Receiver and added the DVCP704 DVD player to have a matching set. I should have checked dimensions ahead of time because the 704 is quite a bit deeper (at 17") than my other components - probably due to the 6-disk changer - and hangs out of my TV stand about an inch. Not a big deal, but something to consider. Beyond the size issue, I was disappointed to discover the 704 couldn't play a CD-Video disk or SACD audio disks. For the price, the 704 seems to have limited features. Since this purchase I have seen single-disk, HDMI compatible players that support more formats at half the price. Overall, DVDs perform well and look great when connected via the HDMI interface at 1080i. The setup screen and background seem to be at a very low resolution, but you really don't spend much time looking at them.
The 674 A/V receiver and 704 DVD look good together, but the 704 is nowhere near on par with the 674.
Update (2/17/07) Like the other reviewer above, I have also noticed some "stuttering" at chapter changes. Just enough to be noticable, but not quite worth returning.
