(More customer reviews)Picked this up for $89 on Black Friday 2010 (online shopping) and haven't had a single issue with it! It's our first blu-ray player on our first HDTV and I can't be more pleased with its performance. The updates have made it work better and even added a Napster application, although I don't use it.
I have zero problems with Netflix connectivity, and I am using it wireless with our modem in a different room across the house. We even have the lowest-cost broadband connection available in our area, and our Netflix streams NEVER drop out. They even seem to start up a lot faster than on the computer, which is weird. I am extremely impressed with how well the built in Wifi works on this thing.
I can even play games in my room while my wife streams movies. It does slow down the computer a bit, but I can't complain.
Pandora is also cool. I have no issues streaming that either. The remote works fine for me, although I've read plenty of bad reviews about it. DVDs really respond fast, and Blu-Rays give me no problems either. Sometimes it takes a while to get out of something to go back to the main menu, but that's pretty much my only complaint. Oh yeah one more thing, if you ever have to put subtitles on, and then fast forward or skip a scene, they seem to turn off! That's pretty weird and I hope it is fixed in a firmware update. Although I don't need subtitles that often, I'm sure it matters more to people who are hard of hearing.
I can't say anything about the picture quality vs. any other Blu-ray players, because this is my only one!
